At the center of Los Angeles’ dance scene lies a phenomenon that has been fourteen years in the making. As an experienced and talented musician, Mehdi Ghavami Shahidi has created a solid foundation for years of composition ahead. Hailing from the streets of Tehran, Iran, Mehdi G developed a unique style both behind the DJ booth and in the studio – a style that brings guts and accessibility to music. Riveted by music since the age of 11, Mehdi learned to play a wide range of musical instruments including the electric, classic, acoustic, and bass guitars, keyboard. It is this musical knowledge and dexterity that enhances his individual sound. However, his abilities are not limited to producing, Mehdi G has also established himself as a skilled DJ with experience performing for crowds all over the world. By 13 he was a member of an Iranian pop band called Darya and began composing the band’s material no more than a year later. He continued as a part of Darya for three years, having several successful concerts all over Iran. Post- Darya he moved to Turkey. In 2002 he moved to Los Angeles, California where he dedicated much of his time to deepening his musical expertise. In the past six months he has made three music videos and is currently working ..ing his first album. Drawing on influences all over dance music, Mehdi G has created a sound that is pure energy. His musical style represents a subtle blending of House, Electro,Goa, Dance, and Techno, landing him on the top 20 DJs of Los Angeles on thedjlist.com in 2008 . As a dedicated and passionate DJ, Mehdi G guarantees a professional and unforgettable performance at every show. Mehdi G performs throughout California as well as at select nation-wide events.
